What can I do about it?
Even when I try to make an xml file with megaepg I can't see the *.xml file where I asked for the app to put it there. It's just doesn't happen.
How can make *.xml file in vista (with megaepg of course), and how can I undo the changes I did in vmc and that that the vmc will download the epg?

Where did you ask to put the xml file? By the default it's in c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\MegaEPG\xml directory. Did you change that? Did megaepg run without errors? Does the log file have any error messages?

I uninstall the app and now
I uninstall the app and now i can download the epg properly through vmc.
The *.xml file I succeeded to download through another computer.

Error 14 and problems in downloading the HOT guide
I Have vista home premium VMC in Hebrew and downloaded MegaEpg 1.2
I am trying to download HOT guide, which I managed before with Win XP
When I start the MegaEpg (version 1.2), it works and collects the programs. However at the stage of producing the file I get an error announcement: Error in writing I/O file and I have to close it
When I try to download through the Vista media center it seems that it connect for 2-3- seconds and then I get a message of error 14
I tried to get help from Microsoft but it seems they don’t know what the problem is, and their idea is that it is because of the router

I tried 3 option:
1. to download VMC guide with Megaepg
2. to download XML file with megaepg and got FATAL ERROR : CANOT PRODUCE OUTPUT XMLFILE C:\EPGDATA.XML CHECK PROBLEM ON PATH AND ENCODER
3. I also tried to download again via the VMC and got again error 14

It seems that changing the user name from Hebrew to English is not enough, as probably there are some leftover files with the original Hebrew name
I opened a new user with English name and its working

Ah, it does not rename the
Ah, it does not rename the user's data folder! Damn, I forgot that. Yes, in this case you should either create a new user or rename and replace the user's data path in the registry, all the entries. This is a good thing you changed it to an English name, more programs might experience problem with Hebrew in the data path.
