I am working with Windows Vista Ultimate.
Somehow the guide has time shift of 8 hours. Which means that a program which actually broadcasts on 20:00 are actually shown on 04:00 of the next day.
When I am using Vista media center guide it never happens.
It happened before. I completely removed MegaEPG, and reinstall it. Things were good for several days, now the problem returns.
All timezone and related options seems to be perfectly configured.
From were MegaEPG determines the timezone?
How can I resolve this annoying problem?
Thanks,
Amir.
MegaEPG does not care about
MegaEPG does not care about the timezones. It only can add tzoffset parameter hours to the shows time, if needed. The guide from Microsoft comes with GMT hours. Time shifting can happen only within the Media Center application. Try to turn the Internet time synchronization off.
After advanced investigation
I investigate this issue deeply.
The time shift is 8 hours and 45 minutes BUT only in certain channels such as channel 22. Few channel were messed up, while for other channels there is no time shift at all.
Something is wrong?

Two very important
Two very important things:
1. Does the problem persist if you re-run megaepg?
2. Do you have tzoffset=+0300 in your megaepg.ini?
Two very important
1. Yes.
2. I didn't find any file with name on my computer.
Further more - it seems that although the task scheduler seems to work OK, the EPG itself wasn't updated - Which means that in approx. 2 days, I don't have EPG at all.
Amir.
The file is in
The file is in c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\MegaEPG
Is EPG updated when you update it manually within MCE?
I found it
I found the file. There is no any timeoffset option.
When I tried to update it manually using MCE, the guide was updated succesfully, and all chanels timings are OK, including chanels which were shown with 8-9 hours offset.
Amir.
When you configured the
When you configured the guide in MCE you've chosen "Update the guide manually" rather than "Update automatically". Go thru the guide setup again and choose "Update automatically". MegaEPG just prepares the guide listings, MCE should be configured to read them automatically. I can not reproduce 8-9 hours offset, the only problem that people have experienced was a 1 hour shifting. If you have this issue, add tzoffset=+0300 to the megaepg.ini file
I will check tommorow the new version
Just to inform - The guide was fully synchronized, until 23:00 this evening when megaEPG, run its daily update. then again several channels had mixed up again (like Channel 22).
Where do I configure VMC to run automaticaly?
