I'm afraid, this version of MegaEPG does not work with hebrew characters in file names. Let me get to my Vista computer and find a way to change the user name. We have to do it before doing further experiences.
I am using the hebrew version of VISTA so its not only a problem of changing the account name since there is a default hebrew directory in the way - the equivalent of USERS - משתמשים

I'm still thinking how to resolve the issue :(. What can be done right now:
Find all directories in the registry משתמשים and משתמשים\שם_משתמש and simply replace it with Users and Users\EnglishUserName respectively. Then rename the directories משתמשים and שם_משתמש. Do NOT create new directories, just rename these ones because they have correct security attributes settings.
When I was looking at the directories, I noticed that the משתמשים directory is also marked as USERS. You can see that if you go to any of the directories under משתמשים and look at the properties. You will see c:\users and not c:\משתמשים
So, all I did was to change the user name to an Engilish name (I re-installed VIST for some other reason so I did that at that time).
Now, I did not get the error messgae.
So all that needs to be done even in Hebrew VISTA is to make sure the user name is in English
