I shouldn't tell you a long story about how much efforts the MegaEPG development takes. It simply takes a lot. But I would not ask for donations if my own efforts was the only reason. It is obvious to me that no amount within a donation scheme can cover the time I spend supporting the MegaEPG project. I decided to ask for donations because the nature of HTPC makes it very expensive to build the supporting environment for the project. People ask me about the Windows 7 and Windows Vista and Linux and they use various commercial and free PVR software. I try to buy additional TV cards (a must have device for any media system and the sad thing is that piece of hardware can not be shared by a virtualization system) and have to buy software licenses and just hope the donations will help me to afford this kind of expenses. I don't want to make the MegaEPG a commercial software regardless of how well the donations work. I want to thank you for your interest in the project and appreciate the decision to donate!
