the exact error is as i wrote above with minor typos (i will check it again tonight). changing the user name does change the directory name since it's all relative in vista the paths look like c:/"user name"/my videos etc.

in the meantime , by any chance do you have an HOT ini file i can use
What is the issue? If it's about the config file, I am still waiting for a) the exact error message and b) the path the megaepg.ini was created. I can not reproduce the issue in my environment so I need as much info as possible.

Does changing the user name also renames the user data directory?

by the way, it does create an ini file , but almost empty.
it says cannot create/write the ini file.
