MegaEPG doesn't work on Windows 7

In Windows 7 after selecting the country and the zip code the windows start downloading the EPG from microsoft and doesn't let you choose guide.

Is there a bypass to that?

Not yet. Windows 7 will be supported in further versions and I'm pretty sure not  before the Windows 7 released officially.

Till MegaEPG support windows7 i uses: Big Screen EPG V0.3H (Beta Version)
You need a free registration on http://bigscreenglobal.com

Then download the beta ver of the EPG program

You can use it to convert the MegaEPG XML data to 7MC MXF and import it into windows7

You'll have to work your way through the docs to figure out how to use it

I thought of writing a step by step  on how to use BSE with MegaEPG but havn't find the time or heard of to may people in need.

I'm working with Israel HOT

I run a batch file that running MegaEPG and then Big Screen EPG.

Works well only need a long setup.

each channel has to be configured seperate.

Big Screen EPG

Tested your temp. solution utilizing Big Screen EPG. Works awesome with 7MC although somewhat cumbersome.

After importing EPG to 7MC, there is a need to go to "Edit Channels", then select the desired channel to be edited and then select "Edit Listings". You then get the option to "map" a new listing into the appropriate channel#. You ca see the regular EPG content as well as the Big Screen/MegaEPG content and click on the desired one.

Works great. Look forward to test your updated support which will most likely ease the process and automate it.

beta ver time limit

notice that this ver will only work till 1st of july (if i recall correct).
