Hi,
I have downloaded the latest version and tried the new hot_he script. Once runing the megaepg.exe, I recieved the error
Script hot_he: unhandled exception '(10051, 'Network is unreachable')' at line 683
On the log file the below error was repeating endlessly
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "logging\__init__.pyc", line 744, in emit
File "logging\__init__.pyc", line 630, in format
File "logging\__init__.pyc", line 418, in format
File "logging\__init__.pyc", line 288, in getMessage
TypeError: int argument required
The ynet_he script works however, so it doesn't look like a network error on my end.
Do you think it is a problem with the script or hot site is not accessible at the moment?
appreciate your advise in this subject.
Thanks
Something is still unclear.
Something is still unclear. Can you please add the following lline to the megaepg.ini:
raiseonexception=1
and send me the results? Thanks
Error disappeared
As I added the line you mentioned, and re-run the program the error didn't appear.
I am not sure if it was due to this flag, or that the HOT service became online again. Any way it now works perfectly.
Thank you for your help and this great software.
No, it has nothing to do
No, it has nothing to do with the flag. Your problem was clearly a network problem but I want to catch it and process it nicely in future releases. Leave the key, in case the problem returns.
Well the problem is back
Here is the trace from the log file
- btw: l am unable to connect for almost a week. Don't know if it the HOT size which is down or not

Do you have the internet
Do you have the internet connection at all? Are you able to visit www.hot.net.il site for instance?
Or does it happen when your computer wakes up to grab the EPG?
Internet connection exists for sure
My internet connection is available when I try to run the script. The error happens every time I run it now, either through the GUI or the command line. The ynet_he script works, and I believe this means that I do have internet connection.
I have tried opening the www.hot.net.il via by browser but received an error page. So I tried to ping the domain, the IP is resolved but the request is denied.
Is it possible they changed their EPG location?
Interesting development...
After I realized that the www.hot.net.il was actually HOT's home site, I have check why am I being blocked from access.
I have no rule on my firewall to block HOT access, so I have restarted my modem to get a new IP, and then I was able to access and also download the EPG.
Do you think that at some point HOT blocked my IP due to frequent downloads for their EPG using the MegaEPG software? it is schedule to run once a day.
I don't know but can hardly
I don't know but can hardly believe that HOT blocks IP addresses for downloading EPG once a day. It could be some weird DNS problem too. Strange... Let see if it happens again. How many channels you download the EPG for?
I download 44 channels for a
I download 44 channels for a period of 6-7 days.
If it happens again I'll be sure to update you.
