Hi Igor,
First of all, I would like to thank you for the new version.
However, there seem to be a mismatch between the 2 new HOT channels:
4 - HOT Family
6 - BIP
MegaEPG v1.3.0 supports these channels by means of channel name/number.
However, the content of the EPG is crossed:
The actual shows for channel 4 are shown under channel 6 and vice versa.
i.e. TV shows that belong to channel 4 (HOT Family) are listed under channel 6 (BIP), and vice versa.
Thanks,
Uri
p.s. Apparently, an intermediate hack to fix this can be done by switching the channel ids (16,74) in the "channels.xml" file.
yep
same problem here,
how exactly should this be fixed?
Before you switch the
Before you switch the channels in channels.xml file, please remove the cache (delete all the files in the cache directory) and try again. I still believe the channel ids are ok.
Reply if this helped.

1. I don't use the cache at all (so the folder is always empty).
2. I have installed the MegaEPG on a new PC, asked for EPG for these 2 channels only (No Details), asked for XML file format, and checked the file using Notepad. The problem persists. You get the the shows for the "6-BIP" channel listed as the shows for "4-Hot Family" channel (and vice versa).
3. However, after switching the channel ids (16,74) in the "channels.xml" file (Using Microsoft XML Notepad 2007), the EPG for these channels works perfectly.

You are right, this behavior
You are right, this behavior was confirmed by others as well. It's HOT problem but I'll fix it in a patch.

Isn't just a number, and is supposed to define the channel in guide?

It's a number but the numbers should match the specific provider table. Can you please check if the HOT site swithes the channels too?

Gladly, but I do not understand what should I look for. Just browsing HOT EPG, the channels show the correct info, if that's what you mean.
By the way, my previous post did not come out well, probbaly because of the signs I used. What I wanted to say is:
Isn't "channel id" just a number, and "tuning" is supposed to define the channel in guide?
Yes I meant that the
Yes I meant that the channels Bip and Hot Family are not switched on their site. Channel id is indeed just a number but I'd rather fix it in the HOT script mapping table than in the channels.xml
Fixing the channels mismatch
Since the MegaEPG scripts are Python-Compiled files, only Igor can fix them directly.
Fixing the "channels.xml" file can be done by everyone with XML Editor.
Since the problem might be only in the "hot_he" script, it is possible that fixing the problem in the "channels.xml" file will cause the mismatch problem to appear on the other scripts (i.e. "ynet_he", "vista_he")
The best solution is to get a patch for the MegaEPG script.
The fast and immediate solution is to fix the "channels.xml" file.
