I'm new at this and just downloaded version 0.9.9.
For some reason, the app generates an error and get stuck on a certain channel. When it happens, I close it and run it again, but this doesn't always work. That happened when my first priority script was hot_he, but now I've changed it to walla and it seems to be fine.
The error I get in the log:
ERROR Script software generated error 'Dates mismatch: XML date: 02/02/2007, requested date: 03/02/2007'
It's the same error message every time.
Am I doing something wrong?

You are doing right. It's the HOT data problem, very interesting to investigate. To do that I need the information about the channel (very soon for today programs, to be able to grab and debug it too). When it happens the next time give me a prior alarm.
I don't recommend to use walla, their guide is not complete/correct at times.

I was experiencing the exact problem in hot script, shich is very unfortunate since hot is the what I have - and their EPG is very updated (that's wht I see in their site).
I am trying to run it again and again from time to time but they always fail me.
Tonight I will see if its OK and update

OK I downloadad just one day for hot and it came through :-) finally.
But., I still foresee a problem, sice you cannot record a series once you have a title like this:
חברים 3 62.בת הזוג לשער של פיבי
why don't you chomp the episode number and the description (the title shold ebe just חברים 3).
Is it possbiel to fix?

Finished the download....two main problems:
1) all shows have bad titles making it impossible ot record series (see previous post)
2) all shows have category - תעודה/טבע making it impossible to search
until it solved somehow - I am going back to tv2day - which is the least bad

Series is a pain in the ass! There is no standard format for episode numbers in the title. Most of episodes in tv2day use the following shchema: "שם - פרק 123" and I parse it correctly. However some other shows look like "שם 123" or "שם,123" and I don't know for sure if the number is a real episode number or just a part of the name. There are some movies that end up with numbers too... I'll try to make some smart solutions in the upcoming version but anyway this is not trivial.
Regarding the category, did you look at the HOT website? If programs have the same category there, then it's HOT EPG fault. By the way, HOT has just 7 (seven!) categories at all, for everything.

You are right, you are the last one to blame here, and you are doing a great job, maybe you should pick on how other PVR software are addressing this problem?
tv2day is so NOT up to date though, I will say that there are many errors there, even the movies are wrong!!
BTW - will imdb rating work with tv2day? why don't you add it as an option in the EpgConfig? why only manually?

I'm thinking hard on how to reslove the series issue :-). There are few ideas to implement.
IMDB rating works the best with tv2day since they usually provide the original movie name although there are many errors and even typos there too :-(
I'll add it to the epgconfig, this one was the script test version only.
