i use gbpvr and with megaepg (of course) - and there is no other software for epg like yours. so first of all thank you.
i think i asked this question before, but it seems that more and more channels (hot and ynet) start using this and its a problem.
in gbpvr (and i am sure, other htpc softwares) you can schedule repeated recordings based on the programs name.
if you plan to record each week the program "sliders 3" in AXN you schedule to record all the episodes.
the problem is that alot of channels started to post the programs "sliders 3 - 48. the faith of blah blah" - the episode number and title in the program's title.
so when the pvr software scans the epg to schedule recordings it doesnt find "sliders 3" and doesnt record.
i started to go each day over all the epg in all the channels to see if there are some programs like that.
is there a way i can move the episode number and name to the details side and leave the programs name alone?
this will improve my life dramaticly :)

i dont mind using a 3rd party software which i can schedule to run after the epg is downloaded and before the gbpvr update.

I have the same problem with series. "Al Bundy (23:48)" Vista MC seems to be using the name of the series to detect if it is a serie or not.

i downloaded the new version.
i deleted the cache folder and resynced everything
the episode number and episode title is still in the programs name
do i need to do anything special?

Strange... If you're sure you've synced everything, give me an example of what channel/program it happened.. Or is it still everywhere? The new version should remove the episode number in parentheses from the title.

Whoops.. I explained myself bad then :). The episode cutting has been done for the Norway provider. It was easier there cause the provider uses a consistent episode format. In YES/HOT EPG we have "balagan gadol". The new episode detection system for Israel is being tested.

now that HOT EPG is all screwed up and simply not available.
is there any change on how to get this to work?
ynet has all the EPG sorted with the episode title in the programs name. and it is almost impossible to schedule a season recording.
