I'm using Vista Home Premium Retail with a Hauppauge PVR 150 PVR card and windows vista media center. My service provider is HOT.
I tried different configurations for MegaEPG but the vista media center refuses to download the EPG. It says there's a problem with my internet connection while there are no problems. I can download the built in EPG from media center but it doesn't include all the channels.
Your help would be appreciated.
If I need to send any logs, please tell me how.

Yes, I followed the instructions in the article
and everything seemed to be ok but it still wouldn't download the EPG from within vista media center.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
That's the error I get in IE after trying to copy and paste the link upon getting the error in vista media center.
My internet connection is working without a hitch. Could it be my router? I also tried turning off the vista firewall and it didn't help.
Vista media center is able to download the built-in HOT EPG without a problem so I don't know what might be causing the problem.

It can't be the router: the access is only local. If you are sure that no firewall rules prevent the access, then the mepgvs service is seems not running. Can you verify that?

I also tried temporarily disabling vista's firewall and still got the code 13 error in vista media center - "internet connection failure". However, MegaEPGw is unblocked in the vista firewall anyway.

Maybe you have another application using the port 19679? I see no reason why it shouldn't work. Check everything directly with the Internet Explorer (MC is a too long way to test the things). The url http://localhost:19679/log should open a log page, that means that the problem is solved. Disable firewalls, any other applications, reinstall MegaEPG if necessary. Maybe you have the localhost redirected in \windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts? Try ping localhost and ensure it return pings from 127.0.0.1
The problem is your networking and it's in the local computer.

Is this a known problem with HOT 3 or should I add more scripts?
Edit: I added more scripts and there's data now but it's not accurate. For instance, The Young and the restless is listed at 15:19 when it actually starts at 17:30.
