I get an error 24 when I try to follow the guide in the documentation for MegaEPG. I noticed that the screens are slightly different than in the documentation, for example, I dont get a question if I want to download new options, it starts to download automaticly...
I have also checked the Documentation on this website, and it states that the program "mepgvs" is supposed to be running. I cant see that process in my task manager. My discSVC key looks fine, and the grabber generates the bin file. Cant se anything wrong with the log eighter, just a few places where it says small gap detected and so forth...

I had the same problem, but I think I have found the cause and a workaround. Try adding only NRK1 + NRK2 in MegaEGP config and see if the wizard can complete successfully. This worked for me. Then I started adding more and more channel until the program update in Vista failed. The reason it fails is because of an empty slot or error in the programguide downloaded from dagenstv.

I've used the evening
I've used the evening figuring this out. I have successfully setup MegaEGP to fetch 5 days for the following channels:
NRK1
NRK2
NRK3
TV2
TV2 ZEBRA
TV2 NYHETER
TV2 FILM
TVN
TV3
SVENSK TV1
SVENSK TV2
If you extend the period to f.ex 7 days - it fails again. I guess the problem is that if DagensTV has no info about a channel for a given day, the EGP becomes corrupt. I also have to choose "No description" when setting up the channels in MegaEGP.
Let me know if you can get more channels working. It takes quite a while to add one and one channel and test it.

I just can't reproduce the
I just can't reproduce the failure! I'm trying any number of days and different channels and don't get any errors :-(. So far tried 7 days listings for danmark3+, vh1classic, nrk1, nrk2, Sat3, canal+filmhd, Discoverysci, disneytoon, dr1, dr2, aljazeera, hallmark, dsf, pro7, rtl, svensktv1, svensktv2, travel, tv1000action, tv2danmark, tv2nyhetskanalen, tv6, tv5, viasat4... Not all the channels have the programs information (that's natural) but it doesn't cause Vista errors.
Maybe the difference is that I use the English Vista? Anyway if you see the error again, let me know right then.
2 problems experienced
I've been running my MegaEPG now for a couple of days and here are my experiences so far:
1) Even if I could download and use the channels mentioned in my earlier post, now the Vista crashes again when downloading the latest guide. I had this problem earlier also, but excluding some channels made it work. So there is obviously something wrong in the file and the problem is not constant, nor is the solution. Igor: Do you want me to send you my .bin file, so you can try it on an english vista?

2) When scheduling the MegaEPG download, it will never finish. I guess the dialogbox is still open as when you run it manually. Is there a way to make MegaEPG shutdown after downloading the guide?
If I can make more channels work stable and solve my problem #2, I will write some good reviews on several norwegian sites and blogs. There's a lot of people in Norway who really need a program like this!

1. I'm still trying to catch the problem too, with no success till now. Sending the bin file is a wonderful idea! I will need the .bin file itself and also GetEPGMetaDataInfo.html file in the data directory (otherwise I'll not be able to decrypt the bin file).
2. Are you scheduling the megaepg.exe or megaepgw.exe? There is no problem with the megaepg. If you are scheduling the windowed application megaepgw, add --noui command line switch, the switch will prevent a need for any user input and will auto-close the dialog window at the end.

In this log, it had several problems with NRK1, so I removed that, leaving only NRK2. After that it worked fine! So maybe the reason can lie within this log?
If you can make this work stable with Norwegian settings, it would be absolutely great!!! Keep up the excellent work!!

I decided to try again, and now it works using 44 channels (including NRK1) and 7 days! I don't know of anything I did different, other that adding the channels in a different order, and just a few at a time. But everything worked just fine now....

It happened again
Today I got this error again (error 24). It seems that it may have to do with the data. I was able to provoke the error downloading EPG for just one channel (Discovery Travel&living), and only one day. I have a copy of the data and xml folders. Where do I post them?
If I remove this particular channel, and add a bunch of others, everything works fine.

Igor has an .xml file that fixes the offending channel: Discovery Travel & Living. Seems that the & in the channel name is the bugger. Have tested with all channels 14 day listing, no errors :-)
Only the Series format left to fix now!
(and maybe the NRK3/NRK super problem. Two listing for one channel daytime listing and evening listing. Have to choose one or the other ...)

Can you please look at the NRK Super channel at the dagenstv, is it correct at all? I see few programs have the same start time and I doubt if the listing for the channel is correct.
