Can't configure EGP in Vista

Hi!

I've just installed an configured MegaEGP. I've also downloaded my selected channels successfully. But when I try to configure the EGP in Vista, I can't chose the new EGP provider as showed in the documentation. Only the old EGP provider is shown, and when Vista tries to download the guide, it ends with error 24. I've also verified my setup in the "MegaEPG troubleshooting in Windows Vista"-section. I've read about some other norwegians having the same problem with the norwegian version of Vista. Is this the problem you think?

Per :-)

Are you sure the discSvc

Are you sure the discSvc key is correct?  Are you using the Vista retail or SP1 already?

When you got error 24, please minimize the MediaCenter application window, open the internet explorer and open the URL: http://localhost:19679/log

Please send me the output.

Hi and thanks for your

Hi and thanks for your reply!

I'm using the norwegian retail version of Vista. Is there a problem that Mega EGP is installed under "Programfiler" instead of "Program files"? Typical norwegian issue....

Here is my regkey for discSvc:

http://localhost:19679/epg/GetTvServicesMetaInfo

And here is the log after getting the error 24 message:

MegaEPG Vista Service Logging buffer
2008-01-28 21:55:18.832000 INFO Key has been changed to https://data.tvdownload.microsoft.com/discovery/discoveryservice.asmx/Ge.... Restoring value http://localhost:19679/epg/GetTvServicesMetaInfo

Is you need more regkeys or info, just let me know. I'm quite determined to make this work! :-)

Problem solved... I think

I think I have solved the problem now. Vista is actually using MegaEGP, but it's not visible as shown in the documentation. After getting the error 24 message I clicked back and then I saw the MegaEGP provider name. Then I saw an error in the grab-log regarding vh1 classic. I then configured MegaEGP to only download 3 channels for testing purposes, and it seems to work now. I will try adding more channels tomorrow and see what happens.

Great!! I'd like to "catch"

Great!! I'd like to "catch" this problem too, will appreciate if you can determine the "bad" channel. BTW, what was the error in the log regarding vh1 classic?
