The site content including articles, images and other materials is copyrighted and owned by pvr.co.il. Reprinting or redistribution in any form without prior permission is strictly prohibited. The copyright notice does not apply to users’ comments; pvr.co.il takes no responsibility for users’ comments. Trademarks and registered trademarks mentioned in the site content are the property of their respective owners.

Software license

The MegaEPG grabber software is copyrighted and owned by pvr.co.il. The MegaEPG grabber is a free software and “free” here means “at no cost” only. To make the things clear, the software is not distributed under a GPL-like license and it is not an “open source” project. Redistribution is allowed only for unchanged distribution package of the free/evaluation versions; repackaging of the software in any form or making the package a part of any other software and/or system (bundling) is strictly prohibited without prior author's permission. Reverse engineering or modifying parts of the software or its documentation is strictly prohibited.The software may be used only for personal use in a home/private environment. Commercial use of the software or distribution of the data produced by the software as a service (either commercial or free) is strictly prohibited. Please refer also to the EPG copyright section.TV channel names, logos and slogans contained in the software are the property and/or trademark/registered trademark of their respective owners.

The software is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. Neither the author, nor pvr.co.il, nor script/plugins contributors shall be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damage arising out of use or inability to use the software.

EPG copyright

EPG data is a copyrighted data in most cases. It is the user responsibility to comply with the copyright law and the EPG rights holder regulations. The author shall not be liable for a misuse or illegal use of copyrighted data. By using the software the user fully understands and agrees to the following:
  • The act of EPG data extracting is performed by the user and upon the user’s request; the software is only a tool similar to the Internet browser. If browsing the EPG data is considered a legal act, then using the software should be considered a legal act too.
  • New data file(s) produced by the software (in the format of XMLTV or any other format) contains the same copyrighted EPG data, therefore the copyright law and the rights holder regulations apply to the new data file(s) as well. If EPG data transformation into another format is prohibited by the rights holder, then using of the software may become illegal.
